Cellular Material - What's the Difference?

Cellular materials are available in four different structures:

CLOSED CELL: A flexible expanded cellular material consisting of non-interconnecting cell structure.

CROSS LINKED: Cross orientation of molecular structure imparting superior qualities.

OPEN CELL: A flexible, expanded cellular material consisting of interconnecting cell structure.

RETICULATED: A three dimensional network of strands, the membranes removed, providing nearly 100% space and high breathability.

Depending on your application, different cell structures will provide a variety of dynamics. Many are UL rated, available in various densities and thicknesses, and can be die cut to a variety of shapes and sizes.
